What you receive

A structured, dollar-ranked recommendation set. Each recommendation carries the problem or opportunity, the affected parts of the business, the source evidence, the step-by-step arithmetic, the estimated dollar impact where the data supports it, a recommended action, labeled assumptions, and a measurement plan.

Plus a 60-minute readout call to walk through the findings together.

What the fixed price covers

The fixed-price Audit covers one legal entity, up to two locations, up to three principal source systems, and up to twelve months of records. It produces the highest-value supportable findings, capped at ten fully detailed Recommendations. Larger or materially more complex businesses: use the data-fit check and we’ll scope it in writing before you buy.

The Evidence Standard, applied

  • Every number traces to your data or a named assumption.
  • Where the data can’t support a dollar figure, the recommendation says so.
  • Dollar-quantified findings use only vendor-item mappings you have confirmed.

Who it’s for

Owner-operated businesses, roughly $300K–$10M in revenue, whose records are scattered across point-of-sale systems, vendor invoices, spreadsheets, and inboxes. Larger or multi-entity businesses: start with the data-fit check.

Who it’s not for

This is not a generic industry report, implementation work, or accounting, tax, or legal advice. We analyze operations and economics. We are not your CPA or attorney.

What we need from you

  • Whatever records you already have: exports, PDFs, spreadsheets, photos of invoices.
  • One point of contact for mapping confirmations.
  • Complete records within 10 calendar days of purchase, extendable by agreement.

Timeline

Delivery within 10 business days of complete data receipt. The clock starts when your data is complete — not at payment.

Out of scope

  • Implementation
  • Ongoing monitoring (Evidence Monitor, offered after the audit)
  • Custom software
  • Data cleanup beyond what analysis requires
  • Forecasting and simulation
  • Accounting, tax, or legal advice

Terms

  • Fully refundable until analysis begins. We’ll notify you the day analysis begins.
  • One clarification-and-correction pass within 14 days of delivery.
  • Engagement records are retained 90 days after delivery, then deleted — earlier on request, and retained only while Evidence Monitor is active.
  • Async-first communication, with an optional 30-minute kickoff call.
  • In-scope questions answered for 14 days after delivery.

Your fee carries forward

100% of the audit fee credits toward the first month of Evidence Monitor or toward a platform build, elected within 90 days of delivery. The credit has no cash value, is non-transferable, must be elected within 90 days of delivery, and cannot exceed the first invoice it is applied to. When applied to Evidence Monitor, the credit requires a three-month initial term. When applied to a platform build, no minimum applies.

Evidence Monitor is scoped and priced after your Audit — based on data volume, refresh frequency, and which analyses are monitored. Typically $2,000–$5,000/month. Platform builds are scoped individually.

The process

  1. Purchase
  2. Terms + data-handling agreement
  3. Intake + requested-data checklist
  4. Data upload (instructions provided per engagement)
  5. Mapping confirmations
  6. Analysis
  7. Delivery ≤10 business days from complete data
  8. 60-minute readout
  9. Measurement follow-up

What a recommendation looks like

DEMONSTRATION — illustrative data, fully sourced within this example. Not a customer engagement.

Opportunity

Reduce purchasing cost on a top-selling specialty olive oil

Estimated annual impact

$4,680

Evidence

  • Vendor invoice lines, Jan–Jun (demonstration)
  • POS sales export, Jan–Jun (demonstration)
  • Second vendor’s published price list (demonstration)

Calculation

  1. $96.00 per case ÷ 12 bottles = $8.00 cost per bottle
  2. Second vendor’s published case price $78.00 ÷ 12 = $6.50 per bottle
  3. $8.00 − $6.50 = $1.50 saved per bottle
  4. 60 bottles sold per week (POS export) × $1.50 = $90.00 per week
  5. $90.00 × annualization_weeks (52) = $4,680 estimated annual impact

Assumptions

  • Assumption: sales volume approximately stable
  • Assumption: the second vendor’s product is an acceptable substitute, confirmed by the owner
  • Assumption: vendor item mapping confirmed

Recommended action

Request a price match from the current vendor or qualify the second vendor with a trial order.

Measurement plan

Per-bottle cost and weekly volume after 60 days.

DEMONSTRATION — illustrative data, fully sourced within this example. Not a customer engagement.

Opportunity

Capture an unclaimed early-payment discount

Estimated annual impact

$4,416

Evidence

  • Accounts-payable export, last 6 months (demonstration)
  • Vendor invoice terms showing 2/10 net 30 (demonstration)
  • Payment dates on those invoices (demonstration)

Calculation

  1. Average monthly purchases from this vendor = $18,400 (AP export)
  2. Invoice terms offer 2% discount if paid within 10 days (invoice header)
  3. Payment dates show the discount was not taken in any of the last 6 months
  4. $18,400 × 0.02 = $368 per month forgone
  5. $368 × 12 = $4,416 estimated annual impact

Assumptions

  • Assumption: purchase volume approximately stable
  • Assumption: cash is available to pay within the discount window

Recommended action

Move this vendor to a pay-on-day-9 schedule; confirm the discount applies to all invoice lines.

Measurement plan

Discount capture rate on this vendor’s invoices after 60 days.

Built by a data-integration operator, not a marketing agency

The person doing this analysis spent twenty years integrating product, purchasing, warehouse, inventory, sales, customer, and financial data across enterprise systems — ERP, point-of-sale, warehouse, loyalty, and CRM. That discipline is now applied to businesses that can’t afford an internal data team. More about who’s behind this.

Check whether your data is a fit — no charge

Not sure your records are enough for a useful audit? Tell us what you have. A human (Dan) reviews every fit check and replies within one business day with one of three answers: suitable now, suitable with a few more files, or not a fit yet.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of businesses is this for?

Owner-operated businesses, roughly $300K–$10M in revenue, whose records are scattered across point-of-sale systems, vendor invoices, spreadsheets, and inboxes. If you suspect there's money hiding in your numbers but nobody has time to dig, that's the profile. Larger or multi-entity businesses: start with the data-fit check.

My records are a mess. Is that a problem?

That's normal, and it's the situation this audit is built for. Exports, PDFs, spreadsheets, and photos of invoices all work. A requested-data checklist arrives at kickoff so you know exactly what to gather. Cleanup beyond what the analysis requires is out of scope — we work with what you have.

Do you guarantee savings?

No. We guarantee the evidence discipline: every number traces to your data or a named assumption, and where a dollar figure can't be supported, the recommendation says so. What we don't guarantee is a dollar outcome — anyone who does is guessing.

Who sees my data?

The founder, performing the analysis through LucidDataMind. The subprocessors that touch this product are listed on the Data Practices page. Your data is never used to train models and never shared across customers.

What exactly do I receive?

A structured, dollar-ranked recommendation set. Each recommendation carries the problem or opportunity, the affected parts of the business, the source evidence, the step-by-step arithmetic, the estimated dollar impact where the data supports it, a recommended action, labeled assumptions, and a measurement plan. Plus a 60-minute readout call. Read a complete sample audit.

How long does it take?

Delivery within 10 business days of complete data receipt. The clock starts when your data is complete — not at payment — so the fastest path to results is completing the requested-data checklist.

What does it cost after the audit?

Nothing is required after the audit. Evidence Monitor is optional, and 100% of the audit fee credits toward its first month or toward a platform build. The credit has no cash value, is non-transferable, must be elected within 90 days of delivery, and cannot exceed the first invoice it is applied to. When applied to Evidence Monitor, the credit requires a three-month initial term. When applied to a platform build, no minimum applies.

Can I get a refund?

Fully refundable until analysis begins. We'll notify you the day analysis begins.

Is this accounting, tax, or legal advice?

No. We analyze operations and economics. We are not your CPA or attorney, and nothing in the audit replaces either.

How your data is handled

Your data stays yours. It is isolated from every other customer, retained 90 days after delivery then deleted, never used to train models, and never used to improve recommendations for other customers without your explicit written consent. A signed Data Handling Agreement accompanies every engagement. Read the full data practices.
